The Family Preparedness Resource Guide™ is an interactive disaster preparedness toolkit which contains two parts: Dr. Kno’s Resource Guide and Your Family Matters® life organizer software.
Dr. Kno’s Resource Guide
The Resource Guide contains a comprehensive collection of over 30 public domain resources developed by the U.S. DHS (FEMA & Ready.gov) and the Department of Defense. The information has been inserted into a proprietary flip-book style viewer where individual pages can be accessed, magnified and manipulated. If compiled in printed form it would be over eight pounds of paper.
The guide has many benefits; perhaps the most important is that it allows for simple and quick access to the government’s most important preparedness materials. The resource guide is “FREE” bonus material offered along with the Your Family Matters® software.
The Guide is designed to educate, empower and encourage families to take the necessary steps in raising the level of awareness in the household. It covers all aspects of safely preparing children, elderly, disabled, pets, property, businesses and communities.
Links to premium emergency preparedness kits, supplies and other necessary items are contained within The Guide so families never have to search for additional resources elsewhere.
Your Family Matters®
We live in a digital world. A world of numbers, passwords and access codes. Many of which are crucial to our family’s security and financial well-being. In times of disaster or emergency, it may be impossible to access this information unless you have taken time to document it and have it at your fingertips for quick and easy access.
This system is designed to assist in securely storing personal, financial and final preferences information with just the click of a mouse. It couldn’t be easier. Your Family Matters® software guides users through a step-by-step process of filling out a simple set of forms. The forms contain topics such as financial records, insurance policy numbers, final preferences information and much, more.
Once complete, your information is 64-bit encrypted and stored on your computer’s hard drive, USB drive or CD-R for easy accessibility. To ensure your information is at hand and safe during an emergency, it is imperative that hard copies are safely stored offsite and in emergency supply kits.
